John McKenna

John has always applied his personal experience of disability, and his thorough knowledge of policy, procedures, laws and industry codes, to his professional life. John’s diverse experience ranges from developing his own business and consultancy to product evaluation at Telstra, to service coordination roles in community service organisations.

John's particular area of interest is people who have an intellectual disability in a range of life situations including the prison system. John also supports individuals and families by assisting them with self-directed funding options.

A keen advocate for people with disability, John participates on advisory panels and helped to create the television program “No Limits”, on which he appears as “Macca”.

John, the 2009 Disability Professionals Victoria "Disability Professional of the Year", joined our board in 2005.
