EW TIPPING FOUNDATION - SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT
Across the community, Victorians are being asked to live more sustainably. Households are being asked to save water and energy, and to reduce, reuse and recycle.
But this information is not accessible for people with disability in group homes. How can we support our residents to live sustainably?
Our SustainAbility Project is funded through the Victorian government's Sustainability Fund. We are working with people we support and staff to save water, energy and waste in our group homes.
As part of the project we are running a Green House pilot program in three of our houses.
We have developed a SustainAbility Star-ter Kit for people with disability and disability service providers. This is freely available.
Houses signing up to the program receive a certificate and their first SustainAbility Star towards their 6-star accreditation program
