Tipping team says thankyou

The Rotary Club of Pakenham has earned some hearty thanks from the EW Tipping Foundation.
Because of the hard efforts of club members, the Foundation’s respite home in Pakenham now has beautifully landscaped front and back yards.
The EW Tipping Foundation provides support services for people with disabilities, older Victorians, children and families.
Two years ago it opened a state-of-the-art respite house in Pakenham which draws people from across Cardinia Shire, as well as Melbourne’s southern suburbs.
It means families caring for someone with a disability are able to have a break, and people with disabilities can enjoy opportunities to try new activities and meet new people.
The Rotary Club agreed to take on the landscaping of the house, with strong support from many donors including Delfin (plants), Lilydale Instant Turf, Elliott’s Dyamic Water, Rankin’s Nursery, Berwick Potteries and Tim Ahern.
The end result is a lovely garden with ornamentals, trees, herbs and vegetables.
“It’s so pleasant for people to sit outside,” said staff member Eleanor Hobday. “They’ve done a wonderful job.”
