Kenny meets Kenny
Thu, Apr 17 2008
There were no portaloos in sight, but there were plenty of excited people when Kenny met Kenny.
The two Kennys in question are Ken McPherson from Warracknabeal, and “Kenny Smyth”, the famous alter ego of actor Shane Jacobson.
Ken and his housemates, who live in a shared supported accommodation house operated by the EW Tipping Foundation, were visiting the Weribbee Open Plain Zoo for a slumber safari.
Their staff member, Gail Boyd, said they spotted Shane dressed as his Kenny character, filming a spin-off from the film, “Kenny’s World”.
“We asked him if he would mind having his photo taken with Ken, and he was wonderful,” said Gail. “He took time to chat to all the guys, had his photo taken with everyone and even came back later to say goodbye.”
The EW Tipping Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation helping people to live life their way. In Western Victoria, it provides support for people with disabilities, children, older Victorians and carers, and it also fosters inclusive communities.
