EW Tipping houses signing up to the program receive a certificate and their first SustainAbility Star towards this 6-star accreditation program.

Recycling Organic Waste

Recycling organic waste through worm farming or composting can create useful products to be used on your gardens. We have created two information posters – worm farming and composting. They are created for anybody who is starting out on recycling their organic wastes.

The files are a simple guide of what you should put in your worm farm or compost bin. (both files best printed in A3).

Recognition Program

To recognise and reward the efforts and achievements of staff and the people we support for taking part in the SustainAbility Stars program, we presented these awards at the end of year celebrations.

Edible Garden

Interest in creating an edible garden grew since our SustainAbility project began, residents at many of our group homes now enjoy the benefits of growing their own vegetables in the backyard.

To make things easier for the people we support, a staff member has created a pictorial calendar to help them choose what they want to plant depending on the time of the year.

Natural Cleaning Ideas

Simple Reminders Around the House

It helps to have little signs around the house to remind everybody to be sustainable. We have created a few simple signs for use around the house.
