Neurological disabilities can be caused by a number of things including heart attacks, infections or a lack of oxygen to the brain. If you are affected by a neurological disability, you may often feel tired, have trouble moving your body, or talking with other people and expressing your feelings.
The Tipping Foundation has been working with people with neurological disability (such as multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy) for over 40 years, and we understand that each person is different. We also understand the common challenges people with a neurological disability face.
Every person is different, just like every neurological disability is different. That’s why we provide flexible support for neurological disabilities, either in your home or in the community. Our focus is on the person not the disability and on providing individualised support services for everyone we work with.
Taking a break.
Respite is about sharing responsibility for caregiving and getting a break for yourself. Our respite services are designed to fit in with your routine, so we offer flexible respite options including respite in your home, group respite or respite in a Tipping house.
Finding somewhere to live.
The Tipping Foundation runs close to 40 residential accommodation houses across Victoria. Some of these houses cater specifically for people with neurological disabilities.
We offer a range of other services for people with neurological disabilities. Find out more.
